Outings for the Over 65s

The Outings for the Over 65s takes 12 people from Petersfield, once a month on a Tuesday afternoon, on an outing to a local place of interest.  A minibus is hired from Community Transport and you can catch it either outside the Petersfield Community Centre in Love Lane at 1pm, (after the Age Concern lunch) or you can be collected from your own home.  At the end of the afternoon, you will be dropped off at your own home.  The outings are organised by Alison Gauld and Rosalie Hatcher, through Winton House Centre.  Rosalie writes to you at the beginning of each season and Alison despatches everybody each month, and the outing is accompanied by a member of the Petersfield Lions.

We are usually able to offer one or two new places at the beginning of each season or put you on our reserve list.  In 2012 the first outing will be on 29th March.  Further dates for your diary are on the programme.  At the beginning of each year we send out a programme to all those who have a place, and we do hope that you will all be able to attend.  If you cannot attend, let us know as soon as possible, so that we can fill your place with a reserve.  There is space on the minibus for only one wheelchair, and that place is currently taken.  There is a ramp lift at the rear of the minibus.

Alison will telephone all members the day before to jog your memories and find out if you are fit and well and able to come.

The season finishes with a tea in Winton House Centre and presents for all on 30th October.
