We were delighted to re-launch the Winton House Centre on Saturday 17th March 2012. Over 100 people crowded into Winton House creating a fantastic atmosphere of celebration. The Mayor, George Watkinson, cut the official opening ribbon saying that it was a privilege to do so, and guests were welcomed by Joyce Perry, founder and President, and Ric Girdlestone the Chair of the trustees. An exhibition showing the rich history of this magnificent historic building created a lot of interest and guided tours were given to illuminate the many ways in which Winton House has always been a 'House of Friends'. With the merge of two charities into one, Winton House Centre now runs the ground floor charitable services, as well as leasing flats for private rent and maintaining the building for future generations.

We are delighted to have local artist Barbara Morton exhibiting her bright and vibrant pictures in our Pop-In Tea Room. As a birthday present Barbara was given a course at West Dean and this was the trigger for her new and absorbing interest in her life. Many different subjects catch her attention but her main interests are landscapes and flowers.
